Mont Blanc Triathlon, 25-29 August 2011
From £399pp*

One of the most breathtaking, yet demanding triathlon courses in the world. All Sports Travel has teamed up with the event organisers to become an Official UK Tour Operator for this event. We can guarantee you official entry to either the Short (1.5km swim, 40km bike & 10km run) or Sprint (750m swim, 20km bike & 5km run) distance races held on the Sunday.

The Mont Blanc Triathlon is well-supported, with over 1,000 spectators cheering on a field of 700 competitors from all over the world in last year's event. Visiting the Alps during the summer is a real treat. The weather is usually great with ideal temperatures for racing. The people are friendly and the area has a real buzz about it during the weekend of the event.

We've managed to secure some excellent accommodation in a great location with friendly English speaking hosts.

If you're up for the challenge please contact us now and secure your place with a minimal deposit. Spaces are limited.

Olympic Distance (course subject to change)

Lake PassyYour 1.5km swim is in the warm Lake Passy. This time of year many locals will be found sun bathing on the sandy shores of the lake (providing it's not raining). The back drop is spectacular and will certainly get the adrenalin pumping before the start of the race. Start off steady and once you've found some space the lake is generally quite sheltered with relatively good visibility.

The bike (40km) is arguably the most challenging part of the race, yet the most beautiful (if you're able to take in the views for a second). Click here for the course profile.

The run (10km) is two laps of Lake Passy with an extension in to the adjoining countryside. It's a nice flat run after the bike!

Please note: Route is subject to change.

Chalet Tissières

We are working with our friends and ground handlers based in near by Chamonix. They have many years experience in handling groups specifically travelling to the area for the Mont Blanc Triathlon. Mini-bus transfers to the event will ensure you're never too far away from your bike and you can assist with the loading and unloading.

The chalet is extremely secure and will be occupied throughout the weekend.

Depending on the group size we are looking to take exclusive use of this chalet. It sleeps up to 30 people and is a great social space to discuss your race tactics and run through the event afterwards.

Chamonix is perfect for both competitors and supporters - it's certainly not just a ski resort! Many Europeans enjoy the summers in this region more than the winters. The scenery is breathtaking and there always an energetic vibe in the bars and restaurants during the weekend.

Flights (if required)

We use our buying power to secure the cheapest possible fares with highly regarded airlines.

We have secured a limited number of flights with Swiss International Air lines flying out of London Heathrow.

Swiss International Air Lines are fully prepared to cater for our needs. We have discussed the need to transport your bikes safely and negotiated the charges for excess sports luggage.

We strongly recommend you use a 'bike box' specifically designed to transport high value bikes on flights. The airline will provide cardboard boxes if all else fails.
